Halloween 2010

Brig's could have cared less about carving pumpkins this year he was too interested in the cupcakes and home made root beer Ashley made for the kids.
We ended up trick or treating at my parents this year. They have a lot of kids in the neighborhood and it was fun.
Found out Brigs has a thing for suckers. This picture is also probably from a sugar high. Oh well Halloween only comes once a year.
Sunday I was able to get off of work so we surprised Grandma and Grandpa Farrell. Brigs had fun hanging out with his cousins and having chili. Halloween turned out to be fun this year, I didn't know if Brigs would really understand what was going on, but he seemed to enjoy it anyway.

Taylee's Hunt

Taylee lucked out in getting a bookcliff's tag this year and invited us to go. Of course the morning Brigs and I slept in she found her deer. Oh well he still enjoyed seeing it after. We had a great time and learned Brigs really enjoys the outdoors. Taylee would get mad at him for saying WOW all the time and scaring the deer.

Disneyland

This was Brig's very first plane ride and I was very surprised how he was for a lap child. He actually slept both flights and of course enjoyed the plane's pretzels.
His first time in the ocean was a little cold but he enjoyed it for a little while.
For the most part Brigs enjoyed the rides, but some of them were a little too scary.

Overall I think his favorite part was the characters. He was very interested in them. We had a great time and can't wait to go again (with daddy next time!)

Pondering......

Well life I guess is always the same, bad always comes with the good. I continually have to stop and remind myself to count all my blessings. Through work and family lately I seem to continually meet negative people and it's made me all the more appreciative of what I have at home, and what really matters. Life is full of obstacles that are negative, family is always there to lift you up and I think that satan is continually out there trying to tear families apart. In the end FAMILIES ALWAYS STICK TOGETHER. That is why the church if focused on family time and love. It is the one thing you can count on to bring you joy and happiness. Time and time again I have seen people struggle and it's because they have turned away from their families. If we remember the carefree days when we were younger, and that love that can be found in the home, we will always find happiness.

Bear Lake 2010

I had only driven by Bear Lake once so I was so excited when we planned a trip there.
It is such a beautiful place.
The kids really enjoyed the beach. There wasn't a day that
we didn't find sand in mouths, food, diapers, and about everything else.

It was really nice just getting away and enjoying the sun!

During Raspberry days there is a craft fair and the kids were wanting to play on the bouncers. We decided to leave it up to the guys. Well the owner thought it would be fun the let the men race. I think they had a blast, but they both were limping
around for the next day.

Raspberry Days Parade
In the condo Brigs and his cousins loved playing peek a boo. The boys had so much fun together, and I think we are all going to have our hands full in the next couple years!!

Turning One

Brig's turned 1 on August 1, but we celebrated July 31.

We had lots of fun, even though Brigston wasn't too sure about what was going on.

He usually is a big eater so I was so excited about letting him have his own cake. He wasn't interested at all. He was playing in it but would spit it out every time we put some in his mouth.
We ended up going to Gardener's Village after the park and went to the petting zoo. The kids had a lot of fun. They all even enjoyed the pony rides.I really didn't know how I would react to my baby turning one, but things went pretty well. I love the fact that he is getting big because he is so much fun. We are seeing new things on a daily basis now and I'm just anxious to see what Brig's loves next.

The Trout Farm

Grandma with the kids.
We thought it would be fun to take the kids fishing. In Ogden there is a Trout Farm.

Just seeing all the fish was fun!
Clint and Brigs had a good time together, and for the first fishing trip we had a lot of fun. We caught four fish in all. This is a place we will have to visit again.

So Much, So Fast....

Brigs has found his little legs and has learned how to rock back and forth on them. It's only a matter of time before the house will need to become baby proof and our little guy will be everywhere.
For Christmas my parents gave Brigs this rocking horse, but since when we travel we take the house we haven't been able to bring it home since this weekend. Brigs absolutely loves it.
With more interaction, comes getting tired fast. Brigs loves the blankets. This one was one the couch. I was in the kitchen and came to check on him when things were too quiet. He has been falling asleep on the front room floor often. It is so sweet.

6 Months & Valentines Day

Brigston had his 6 month appointment and vaccinations about a week ago. He is weighing in a little more than 15 pounds and 27 inches long. He is getting big so fast. I hate wishing the time away, but can't wait to see this little guys personality. It keeps coming out a little at a time.

We were home for Valentines this year, but Grandma Farrell and Brig's Cousins sent him some fun Valentines. Brigs loved them!!

Goodbye 2009

Ok, I know that it's the middle of January and I am posting about the previous year. Well we are just getting to it. We had a very eventful 2009, and it has been lots of fun. This is what we have been up to.......
January: This month we found out that Clint's sister Ashley was expecting and that our babies wouldn't be more than a month apart. It was so exciting because this would make grandchildren four and five for Clint's side of the family. We were pulling for a girl, but so far it's still just boys. Brackyn my little nephew also turned one this month!
February: Sorry to say that February is a blur. I can't even say that we had a really nice Valentines day. I think I worked, was sick all the time, and starting to feel fat. Yeah we will have to have a better February this year.
March: Clint and I had been going to church for some time, but this is the month that we actually had the courage to make that appointment with the bishop. We started becoming full tithe payers (which is very hard at first, but very rewarding we soon found out), and starting preparing to go through the temple. On Saint Patricks Day we found out that we were for sure having a little Boy!!! We were so excited it would be the first boy my dad would get to play with
after having four girls.
April: We had a nice Easter, and I was still faster than everybody in the Easter egg hunt, pregnant and all.
May: We took a trip to Las Vegas to see Clint's cousin get married and take a few days off. This trip we also found out Garrett would be having another baby. Yeah, this trip was a little stressful. But it was fun to be with everyone. Clint's parents invited us to stay with them for a weekend in Midway. If only I had lots of money, this is where I would live. Absolutely beautiful!!!
June: Stratten celebrated his first birthday! I ended up going to the hospital in the mid month due to bad cramping. Doctor gave me the weekend off and told me not to work so hard. I also had my baby shower in Ogden which was very nice. Clint has such a good and supportive family. Clint and I celebrated our first anniversary. We only went out to dinner (yeah, this year needs to be better).
July: July I was about ready to kill everyone. I couldn't eat enough popsicles to stay cool. I was so tired of being sick and pregnant. At my Doctor visit on July 30th he induced me. I was so excited.
August: Brigston came early morning of August 1st. Yeah I was exhausted but everything went well so we were all happy. We also had to make a trip a week later to Ogden because Ashley had Hesston August 9th. These cute little boys are only one week apart. We also to Brigs on his first camping trip this month up Huntington canyon.
September:
We all took a trip camping on Huckleberry Mountain up by Bear Lake. It was the first time I have ever picked huckleberries and we made the best pies. It was so much fun. This is also the first time I have ever been past bear lake. We booked a trip for this summer so once I saw it, I was so excited for our trip. Also to get our boat on that water. We haven't used it once this past year.
October: We were sealed October 10, 2009 in the Manti Temple. It was a very beautiful day. This month was also Brigstons first Hunting trip was this month. We stayed at a motel in Tory with our good friends Jeanna and Brady. It was also Brig's first Halloween and everyone came to Price because Brigs would be blessed the next day.
November: November 1st was Brigstons blessing day, which Grandpa Laughter gave him a beautiful blessing. This month we also had our first Thanksgiving, which I spent working. Brigston ate his first rice cereal
and started rolling over that weekend.
December: Keaston turned one, and Garrett has his third son. We had our first Christmas with Brigs, and loved seeing all our family. Brigston is now rolling all over the place and knows what he wants. I think we will for sure be busy when he figures out how to crawl. I also got a late Christmas present that I really didn't want. Our washing machine went out so we had to get a new one. I do like the front loaders though, my fabric softener seems to work better in it.Brigs has found that tongue

Yeah we have had a great year, and hope 2010 is only better. Some of our goals this year are to work on food storage, have a garden that doesn't get destroyed by a hail storm ( and not plant so many radishes LOL.), build a shed this summer to help with storage, and also to be frugal and spend as much time as we can with family. Brigs is growing too fast as it is and we want to have lots of good times with him. There is probably a lot more that happened throughout the year, but this is what I could think of off the top of my head.
